Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Graduates of Leadership Development Program 2024

Emerging Leaders - Celebrating Growth and Achievement

The Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the successful graduation of its Leadership Development Program Class of 2024. The graduation ceremony, held on July 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM, showcased the remarkable achievements of participants under the theme "Emerging Leaders - Celebrating Growth and Achievement," highlighting the program's commitment to nurturing leaders who will contribute significantly to the community's future.

The Chamber is delighted to honor the following 2024 graduates: Jordan Craven (Allendale Biomass LLC), Clintin Hooper (Dorchester Biomass LLC), Curtis Jones (Dorchester Biomass LLC), Joseph Crowder (Dorchester County), Katie Eadon (Edisto Electric Cooperative, Inc.), Danielle Axson (Edisto Home Care & Hospice, LLC), Amy Covington (Edisto Home Care & Hospice, LLC), Amber Hughey (Edisto Home Care & Hospice, LLC), Austin Jackson (Edisto Home Care & Hospice, LLC), Taylor Merritt (Edisto Home Care & Hospice, LLC), Jennifer Phillips Evans (Epting Strategies & Solutions LLC), Wilson Durant (Geocycle, LLC), Grande Fender (Santee Cooper), Marianne Stephens (South State Bank St. George), and Susan Spears (The Oaks). These individuals have exhibited outstanding dedication and growth, embodying the true spirit of leadership and commitment to their respective organizations and the broader community.

Sandy Price, Executive Director of the Chamber, opened the event with a warm welcome, setting the tone for a day of reflection and celebration. Buddy Paramore, Chairman of the Board, acknowledged the generous support of the program's sponsors.  The presenting sponsor was Dominion Energy, represented by James Burn. Gold sponsors included Edisto Electric Cooperative and Geocycle.

Sandy provided an insightful overview of the Leadership Development Program, emphasizing its aim to equip future leaders with essential skills and knowledge. Graduates shared experiences from their initial two-day program and subsequent site visits to diverse organizations, including The Oaks, Town of St. George, Bid Group, and Dorchester Biomass. Doug Audette from Atlantic Power, Dorchester & Allendale Biomass, delivered a presentation on the collaboration between participants and host organizations, underscoring the practical application of leadership skills.

The Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Development Program is an immersive six-month training designed to refine the leadership abilities of its participants. The program empowers future leaders with the tools to maximize their potential and become vital assets to the business community. The program began with an extensive two-day training session focusing on three core areas: self-awareness, inclusive leadership, and decision making and strategic thinking. Over four days, participants visit various organizations like The Oaks, Town of St. George, Bid Group, and Dorchester Biomass, working closely with host organizations to tackle specific challenges and applying leadership principles and problem-solving techniques learned during their training.

The Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrates the achievements of the 2024 graduates of its Leadership Development Program. These emerging leaders have demonstrated exceptional growth and dedication, and they are poised to make significant contributions to our community.
