The Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Recipients of Scholarships!

The Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the recipients of its annual scholarship program, awarding six promising high school seniors with $1,000 each to support their pursuit of higher education. The scholarships were presented during the Tri-County Chamber June 'BASH' hosted by First Citizens Bank, St. George.

Supported by our esteemed partners Argos, Giant Cement, Holcim, and Dorchester Biomass, this initiative underscores our commitment to nurturing the educational aspirations of youth in our community. Each recipient has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, character, and community involvement, making them deserving of this honor.

The 2024 Scholarship Recipients:

  • Nicholas Smith from Branchville High School, will be attending Clemson University to study Chemical Engineering.
  • Ragan Jean Steele from Holly Hill Academy, will be attending Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology to pursue a career in Cosmetology.
  • Ta'Miya Clinton from Lake Marion High School & Technology Center, will be attending the University of South Carolina Upstate to study Nursing.
  • Arnaisa Stephens from Bethune-Bowman High School, will be attending Helms College to pursue Baking and Pastry.
  • Lucas Marion Chavis from Dorchester Academy, will be attending the University of South Carolina to study Economics.
  • Sa’Quanna Mar’Ja Hill from Woodland High School/Dorchester County Career & Technology Center, will be attending the University of South Carolina Columbia to study Mass Communications.
